Why does my Candy Crush want to start over at Level 1? I am normally up in the 6,000's for levels.

Why does my game keep wanting to start at level 1? I am up in the 6,000's.
HELP
I have lost several gold bars and didn't get to extend my play on the level I'm on. I hit Keep Playing and it takes my bars but doesn't let me keep playing. Anyone else having this issue?
