During game play in the last week or so, the backround music would begin to play for no reason. The icon has a line through it which means it's off. You need to exit the app (on a windows desktop) and re-load.

I haven't seen other threads about this issue so it might be a local install on your computer that glitches.
If you have the game connected to Facebook (for backup of levels and gold bars) then try re-installing the app.
Please remember that you'll loose any saved boosters by doing so so better to use them before the re-install.
