Level 563 needed extra moves so purchased gold, gold was added but there was a glitch in the game and when it restarted it was playing the old format and wouldn't let me use my gold to complete the level I was on

And please make sure that you're opening the game through Facebook and not through a bookmark you might have saved.
If you are playing on Chrome also paste this in the address bar: chrome://settings/content/cookies?search=cookies Then in the All cookies and site data search box write candy, and delete all cookies that has to do with Candy Crush Soda Saga.
