    As the date of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the 9th of November is temporarily being discussed as the national holiday of united Germany. However, in view of the commemoration of 9 November 1938, the 1990 Unification Treaty (Article 2 (2) EV) stipulates that the 3rd of October will be the day of German unification.

     I had already wondered then. But I do not care. So we have 2 holidays in October. The 3.10. and the 31.10th Reformation Day. Only the East has other holidays than the West.

     And I'm in the East.
