One the daily rewards, I was on level 80 something. I lost my progress but I played before I went to bed. Haven't missed a day in a while.

Just to understand better your issue... Did you lose your progress in the game ( meaning you were playing level 80 something and then the following day you were on level1) o did you lose your daily streak?
