In 2 days I am the only player ticking tiles in my current team (all 4 green checks are mine). One player has sat on the same tile for 2 days with no progress and the other "unknown" player hasn't made a move. I believe I saw an idea posted somewhere here that we should be able to have players replaced after too many days of no activity. Has this been considered at all?

No, nothing is happening (yet). But at least, you know none of your teammates will be rewarded if they don't tick.
