Hi everyone I am proud of my family and friends. Because my husband died from brain cancer 4 years ago. Then my family and friends supported me. Now we are trying to help poor people or who need treatment. Maybe with our small efforts someone will survive. We will be happy. Thanks

I am not a conceited person but I am really proud of myself. In 2005 I had a stroke that was caused by having a tooth pulled. An infection went from my gum around my head and stopped on my brain stem which left me paralyzed on the whole right side of my body. At that time I was only 52 and it devastated me. I never had any children and I didn't have a husband or a boyfriend to help me. All I could do was just sit in my recliner. I finally decided I wasn't going to be like a semi vegetable the rest of my life so I had a physical therapist coming to my house to help me exercise so that possibly some of the paralysis would go away. On the first day he came and showed me the exercises I needed to do. When he was getting ready to leave I told him that he didn't need to come back again that I was going to do this on my own. One thing for everyone to remember is to never depend on anyone else for anything. I knew if I depended on him I wouldn't recover as well as I have. For a year and a half I exercised every single day and slowly but surely I began regaining feeling in my right side. During that period of the year and a half, I had to teach myself how to write again because I'm right-handed and how to walk. I had to exercise the right side of my face massaging and massaging until feeling began coming back. Well on this 13th day of May 2023 I think back about all that I went through and I have to say that I am very proud of myself. I'm able to write again and I'm able to walk again and 95% of the feeling has come back in my face. The stroke did leave me with a few problems but to this day I'm still working on them. If it wasn't for my determination and believing in myself and having faith in God I might not have regained feeling on the right side of my body. I had to keep telling myself what my mother had told me and that was that I had to depend on me and God and no one else and it worked. I'm very thankful and very proud of myself for the year and a half hard work I had to go through to physically be almost back to normal again. Just remember to have faith in yourself and believe in yourself and you can accomplish anything. Bless you all and thanks for listening!
Extremely grateful,
Jill

Ahhh, Tom Petty a great song and the great singer. They go way back with me in the day when rock and roll was great. Thank you very much for your response. I didn't even know that I had the strength to do it myself but I did and I'm so very grateful to the one and only God that blessed me with that strength. Actually now I'm doing great and I listen to my rock and roll everyday. You call yourself rebel child and to tell you the truth back in the sixties I was a real rebel child, hippie, flower child. I just love life don't you? Thank you again and God bless!
