Increase of gold bars

Why is there an increase from 16 bars to 19 bars on a second try in the games? Used to be 10, 16, 26 etc.

do you mean the second purchase of extra moves after failing a level?

Features in the game are known to be tweaked sometimes. different versions of a feature could be available to players at the same time to see which one is liked best.
