I think the yes/no selection could be placed here to answer the question

'Are you sure?'. This screen is a little unclear and awkward.

In which way the text is unclear and awkward?

The "Are you sure?" question is made of 2 parts. The first one pops up like that in case you tap on the exit button inadvertently and you can go back playing without quitting and failing the level by mistake. Which is what happens more often.

The second one "are you sure you want to give up?" appears after tapping on the exit button a second time so you're very clear about your intention of quitting.
