Is there a trick one can use to pass the difficult levels with ease?
Not to my knowledge. Patience and perseverance is one strategy, or playing the right boosters when you get close with one or two move left. If there were any tricks to pass a level with ease, quite frankly, it would take the fun out of the game, because then what's the point of it all?
