Hi @SApple2
From my understanding your own leaderboard is your own point of reference to know whether you can make it to top 3 or not. Amoon may appear in your ranking and show their progress in relation to yours and be a challenge for your competition.
Each player is doing their own competition with their own set of opponents .
Amoon is doing their own competition. Only Amoon will know whether they qualify or not because Amoon's leaderboard is the point of reference for their competition and not yours, Amoon's friend.🙂
I don't know the logic of player being visible on multiple leaderboards. Maybe it's something that can be done on the first stage of the tournament.
Logically speaking, in the next rounds the pool of players to make leaderboards with will be smaller because some will not qualify 🤔
Thank you @Pitty_Kitty for your response and explanation. 🙂
I understand what you are saying but logically, with any given competition, what is happening here is still perplexing to me.
With your explanation, I gathered that one's standing and the prizes of the top 3 have no bearing to any other players on our own board. So basically, players placed on our boards are just there as a challenge to us to get to the qualifying rounds. The prizes are not there to be given to other players but only to us if we finished in the top 3.
If for example there are 100 boards and only few make it to the top 3 then only those few get to the qualifying rounds and get the prizes. It's not really giving away 300 prizes for these boards.
In a typical competition where a pool of players is grouped, each one is usually placed only in one group at a time to compete with one another. The prizes are guaranteed because there will always be winners in each group. In this case, if you don't make it, no one else gets the prize in your group unless in their own boards they made it to top 3.
Did I understand you correctly?
Thanks again Pitty Kitty! 🤗
Hello @SApple2 😊 this is actually nothing new to me. The weekly contest in CCS works exactly the same way. A few of us talked about it about two months ago, we discovered it purely by accident. I regularly appear in other people leaderboard but they are not in mine. Kimmy’s Candy Hunt is the same. I think the game is programmed for us to compete against the best players, depending on our performance. It will probably change after this round let’s see. Honestly I rather see familiar faces in the competition than people who come up with some crazy scores. But I’m sure that will change soon in the next round so let’s enjoy it while we can 😅
Hi @jk14 🙂
Understandably since all the games here are owned by the same company so I can only surmised that they're probably strategically designed this way across the board. We won't be able to ascertain the intent behind the decision but we can see that doing it this way minimizes the amount of giveaway while maximizing the possibility of gain, for going into the competition, it forces one to use more GBs and boosters. Most would probably buy these for assistance in completing the levels.
It's not surprising because after all it's a business.
If it makes you happy, go for it, like eating junk food 😂Once in a while for it's detrimental to your health. 🤣
