Need a Helping Hand? π
Got a game question or need help? This is the place to ask!
Hi @LoFiGummy @Yosca π
For this Winter Cup, is the Studio planning on releasing more new levels per week? If it stays the same, we're talking about only 135 new levels in total for this whole tournament. If would be very difficult to almost impossible for those who are at the end of their map or close to compete in this tournament. These amount of new levels can easily be completed in a day by beginners.
If there's no plan on changing the amount of new levels to be released, how do we compete? Can completed levels be played again in collecting snowflake candies?
Is the matching up or grouping of players randomly selected?
I started getting excited for this new season but then reality sets in. π
Your response is greatly appreciated! π Thanks so much!
Hey @SApple2! Great question, the Winter Cup will function the same as Surf Cup and there are no plans on expanding the number of levels released weekly currently. I know that's disappointing to hear for end-game players such as yourself, but there have been a lot of discussions with the Studio regarding this, and next year the Studio is looking to see what they can do to improve this experience for players such as yourself.
I'm sorry I couldn't bring a more satisfying answer for you regarding this, but I hope you're exciting for the future cups as we'd love to have more expert players such as yourself involved.
Thanks for your prompt response @LoFiGummy! π Appreciate your effort.
I understand what you're saying. It's just being hopeful on my part. Realistically, it's probably too late to make any changes/adjustment anyway for this year. I appreciate the Studio's effort in exploring other possibilities for players at the end of their maps. I'm looking forward to what they can come up with next year.
If it's alright, can I make a suggestion?
If they are looking for similar concept of competition, I think in order for every players to be able to participate in an even field, perhaps the Studio can incorporate the following:
First, choose any level as the starting point for the competition that can be accessible for majority of players, for example level 1000. Announce months in advance so the beginners who would like to participate can work on getting to that level.
Second, when a starting level has been chosen, create a box that will bring you to that level and only open it up at the start of the competition.
Third, when the competition has ended, they can close or remove that box if they choose to.
In this way, all the players can compete fairly and evenly.
