Need help

I have been playing Candy Crush Soda for years, finally made it up in the 5,000's. I decided to purchase for the first time last Sunday. After that, I no longer am able to watch videos to help with game play. I am seriously ticked off. If King knows about this issue, why hasn't it been fixed LONG ago. I have no intention of ever spending another penny of my RL money ever again. I only spent $2.99, and now this is Friday night. I have lost all the contests I was in, and I am about to just delete all candy crushes. There's other matching games I can play easy enough. King please fix this issue! :-(

Spending real money even if only $.99 will ruin the game for anyone. It's a hook to keep you buying from that point on. There are serious consequences for spending any real money. It's a trap.

No doubt players will see a pattern, but just to be clear; I've never made a purchase, I've been playing CCSS since 2014 and have never seen 1 ad. I play on multiple devices (iOS and Android). Personally, I think it's unfair that some players have ads that give them boosters/lives or extra moves for free 🤷🏼 Other players, like me, who have never had an ad are always behind.

Consider yourself lucky that there are ads in your game 🤗

Hi @SallyCollins Sadly this is intentional by King, so it is not an issue that they would "fix". It is a strategy by King that we know well in this community: Once a player has spent real money on the game they withdraw the chance to watch ads for freebies in hope that the player will spend some more real money. It has been been reported on numerous occasions. I tested this out myself, so I know it is true. However I did get ads back after a few months, so they might reappear, but don't spend any more money in the meantime.

I am sorry to read that the ads have stopped appearing in your game 😕

The video ad feature as all ads and promotional features is still a test feature in the game. Therefore video ads will not always be available and not found in all player's games or on all devices. All the features that are in testing are moved around to be tested by as many players as possible. In that process, some players will have those special features for weeks, some have it for months some players have it for years, and some have never seen any ads (like me - and no I’ve never made a purchase). Therefore, advertising is still not a permanent feature.

You have probably been moved to another group, which (temporarily) has no ads. They might return in your game; all you can do is make sure your game and device has the latest updates.

Game restart
I am wondering why my game has reset twice in the last 2 weeks. I do play every morning. I was in the 300 plus days and it reset saying I hadn’t played the day before ( game did an update) and then I was on day 8 and it told me I hadn’t played the day before.
