I cannot save my progress in Candy Crush Soda Saga

I have an old Kindle and would like to save my progress to my email or my Facebook in order to start using the game on a new Kindle device. But when I try to save in the old Kindle, the game crashes. I have restarted the Kindle and cleared the cache of the game. What else can I do?

Stuck on 18418. Middle bear will not advance to upper playing field. This a glitch or am I doing something wrong?
