No, it does not matter. You can tap any place on the board and it will shuffles all the candies except for the boosters.
With Supersonic lollipop, tap it on the tile that hasn't been cleared yet and it will clear most if not all tiles depending on how much has been cleared already before using this booster. In the case of the jam level, it will spread it out. If I have to use it, I usually wait towards the end.
For extreme/hard levels, sometimes it does not clear or spread all the tiles so make sure you have remaining number of moves to clear what's left.
Since when activated to use, u're to tap on the board to start shuffling. So now does it matter where on the board u tap or is it just random? [same question applies to the supersonic lolly 🍭]

The bag is called the Shuffler. It shuffles the candies except the boosters. To use, just click on it then place your cursor on the board and click again.
