previously you could tap a special candy to activate it without being matched with the same candy next to it. mine is now not working? Please advise as to why? Thanks

Please check your game and device software update.
Please try following steps
Restart device, free at least 2 gb device storage,log out device, clear cache of your game, switch of at least 2 min and log in..
