Hmm.. I thought it was a glitch in last week's collecting Green bricks, that the game would only count collected bricks from the week's 45 new levels, but not from the Door levels, yet the same issue is now present in the Rugby Cup.
How are we supposed to participate in the Cups, if we can now only participate with what we collect in the 45 levels we get on Fridays?
This is my first Cup that my game has had in at least a couple of months or more, outside the Skt. Patrick's day game I had last week, but I do remember that we could still collect yellow whistles despite having reached the door.
(I have done the usual troubleshooting things of clearing cache, restart my game, check for new updates, etc)

Hey and hmmm that's odd - I'll check this with the studio to see if there has been any change to this system. I know that they continuously try to improve the event between when they are active, but I hope you still will be able to collect with the pink door levels as it's been done before.

Thank you for checking up on it.
I have tried the usual troubleshooting things again, just to be sure, and yeah my game is not counting/collecting any whistles I remove at all. So I'll wait for the new levels tomorrow, and hope they will be enough to at least qualify till next round. Maybe that gives time to resolve whether a previous update forgot to include door levels for Cups.
