I was almost complete with level 15 in Kimmys Quest and the game just bombed out and I lost all my rewards.

Very sorry for your problem! You can click on "Contact Us" here. You can find on the bottom of the Community page:
Then you make sure your email is correct, write your full name. After that, you choose a game is "Candy Crush Soda Saga", then you choose the platform such as phone or PC, you choose a topic is "Problem with my game" and subtopic is "Special Event Problem".
Finally you tell them "Why are you asking this problem on this game" and send Game ID (How to find your Game User ID on Facebook check here. On mobile, check this page instead) then click on "submit" to Community Team.
So you wait for Community Team (but it has taken longer) until their team will answer and help you about this issue/problem while you receive your email. 😊

For any missing rewards you will need to contact customer support from your game and explain your issue and they should help you with this

The same thing has happened to me twice and used 8 gold bars was only 3 away from the end

I can't remember what level I was, but I believe somewhere around 11. I beat the level and suddenly the game kicked me off. I even used 4 gold bars before that.
It just closes on its own and I lose all my rewards. This happened twice now
