I decided that only bears released with one move count and not the total number of bears contained in one level π
@wykoon is correct, for this contest she has collected 12 bears because she captured 6 bears that are being released from the board. Doubling the number of bears is a bonus I decided to give to reward skilled (or lucky) players if they manage to free at least 5 bears in one go.
Soda players can be very skilled in this type of challenge so I adjusted the rules based on that. However, if this contest proves to be too hard and not fun at all, I'll tweak the rules a bit.
Let's see how it goes

No. the level number displayed by the level is not the one needed. When you match candies and free a bear or more than one, bears will jump out from the board. You take a screenshot (or record it and take a screenshot after, whatever π) of the bears before they disappear from the board. If you are very good at it and at least 5 bears are captured while they're flying then you can multiply the freed bears by 2.
Does this make sense?
If you believe parts of the rules don't get translated well, please tell me more about it in a PM and I'll try to rephrase it π

Only bears fully separated from frosting blockers and board will count. Bears under frosting blockers or the total number of bears displayed by the level will not be considered!

On this level, there are *16 Bears, got them all, but only *12 Showed up, so lost *4 x *2 = *8 Bears here. O well.
The *12th is below the *Green Candy on the right, behind the bear, protruding between the ears. There are *2 on the far top left also.
