How do the chain reactions in the fizz go off? It seems so random. I can't find the pattern. Please help!

Bubble Rush in Soda is like Pepper Panic in, guess what, Pepper Panic Saga. Personally, I love those chain reactions.
The fizz has 5 different degrees. Once the fizz reaches the final level status, the candy with the fifth fizz level is destroyed and subsequently upgrades one level for each candy with the same candy color (the number of times it happens in a row is shown on the screen as x2, x3, etc.). If this happens six times (at which point a "x6" wil appear onscreen), Bubble Rush is activated, and when Bubble Rush is ended, you can earn a bottle cap and all fizz on the candies will disappear.
