Why do I get the message "cannot connect to store" and I am unable to use gold bars or purchase any. Please advise and correct.

The problem is on Facebook.Today I bought gold bars on Pet Rescue Saga and the same issue arose "failed to connect to the store" and I can't use the purchased gold bars.So the same problem as Candy Crush Soda.Please help me to resolve the problem.Wouldn't closing the game and restarting it take me to the beginning and I'd lose my progress?Thank you.
