I've been playing Candy Crush Soda Saga on my iPad2 for a long time with no problem. Now though when I click on the icon, it says loading and then clicks off and goes back to the desktop. Please help.
Hi pganong, try turning your wi fi off, wait a few seconds and then turn back on. If that doesn't work turn your iPad off and then turn back on. Hope this helps.

Which version of the iPad2 do you have?
Please also tell which OS version you are using.

Some of the older phones and tablets can't run the game so this might be your issue.
I agree with Jan's comment - It can also be that you have other apps running that interferes with the game. Try a simple reboot right before playing Candy Crush to see if it solves the issue.

Try closing all open apps and then restarting your iPad. Sometimes there's just too much running in the background to support another game. Hope this helps
