Why is my game not giving me new lives?

Did you try clearing the cache? Note, not data! Usually the problem will then be solved.
Clear cache in Android: go to settings - tap on apps - tap on candy crush soda - tap on storage - tap on clear cache (not data❗️)
Clear cache in iOS: go to settings - tap on Safari - tap on Clear history and website data

Are you refrerring to the forum when you ask about "Body is 1 character too short"?
The forum displays that message when your comment or discussion is too short to be posted so you should add more text to it and you're good to go.
As for the game:
