Non stop flashing screen saying connecting to candy soda on android phone but nothing happens

I may have selected "editing FB friends" on the pop up box. Since then I could no longer open soda game on laptop from FB nor on android phone. The phone kept flashing the "connecting to facebook "screen non stop and I couldn't even exit from that screen. I had to restart my mobile to get out of it. Please help me fix this asap as I cannot play soda anywhere now. I am on 470th+ level and don't want to start all over again.

This link explains what is happening with Facebook connections at the moment and a way to hopefully resolve it as a lot are having issues since all the changes
