Is there a way of turning off social updates at all ? As I keep getting this one from Kimmy, and it won't go away ! Is she an in game bot or something, highly suspicious to me !

Kimmy avatar is part of Social Hub tutorial guide so that is in place to let players know how Social Hub works.
Did you try to add Kimmy and then remove it from your friends list? To remove a player tap on the avatar picture and tap on 3 dots button and select "remove friend"
