When starting Candy Crush Soda Saga, why won't it go to the current level?

I'm on level 1135. When I start Candy Crush Soda Saga, on either iPhone, computer or iPad, it opens on level 808. I then have to go through 6 or 7 "portals" to get to the level I'm on. Why won't the game go the page that level 1135 is on when starting?
