Some players have posted problem loading the game after the current update. I see commonality which is running the game on Windows 10 and some have noted that it was downloaded from Microsoft Store.
Please let me know if what I'm about to share is not allowed or off-topic.
Back in 2022, similar problem has occurred and a lot of players had difficulty loading the game which included me. Although I haven't signed yet in this Community, I have read about a suggestion by one of the Players about Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable. I and other players have downloaded this and it fixed our problem of loading this game.
When I tried to look at the discussion in 2022, I noticed that this suggestion was removed but since one has replied to this player, what was written is still there.
1.) Can I share it here hoping it could help the players that need it in their computer?
2.) Can I share the link of the article that explain what Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable is and why it's crucial component when it comes to Windows application?
3.) Can I share the link the player in 2022 provided to download this program that Microsoft created? I bookmarked it just in case I might need the current version.
I'm asking permission before doing all these because I don't want to do anything that is against the rule of this Community. What ever your decision I will abide.

I can relate in the frustrations of some players because I was in their shoes at that time. I tried everything but I couldn't make it work. I went to this Community hoping other players were going through the same thing and I could find the fix that I needed at that time. Then I read the suggestion and it worked for some players so I did the same thing and voilà it worked.
If permitted, the article I will share explained what this is and why the applications built with Microsoft Visual C++ programming language need components and libraries that will help it run smoothly.

Why would I suddenly need a fix from 2022? Ok when I click on the game it just flashes. Sometimes a black screen will pop up for less than a second. But that's it. It started about 2 days ago. If it didn't mess up in 2022 how would that fix help me now in 2023? I'm just curious because I'm not smart on tech stuff. lol

Because it's still considered the latest supported download until a new version is created. For example, Windows 11 is still considered the current version of Windows even though it was released in 2021.
So the timing in this case has no relevance.

Hey everyone......I was down for over a week, and since I was having a helluva time getting into the Community, I did what everyone else said they were doing, i.e. uninstall, reset, etc., but no change. All I had was a few seconds of a black screen, then nothing. Now that I'm finally in and read your comments, I can verify that the "...Redistributable...." solution WORKS!!! The game is back at exactly where it was when it "shut down" a week ago.. Many thanks to all who provided the perfect tip.
