Adverts keep causing my game (Candy Crush Soda) to crash on my iPad. Is there anything I can do?
The same thing keeps happening to me! It even happens WHILE I'M I'M THE MIDDLE OF PLAYING a game! It's happening when I touch a color bomb with a coloring candy, and in a hard level, that I would've easily crushed! But it sets me back BIG TIME! SOMETIMES IT TAKES A DAY OR SO TO EVEN PASS THAT LEVEL! Plus I lose my winning streak and the boosters that came with it! I use all remaining boosters trying but usually it just takes time until I get a more user friendly board... It's EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING as well as wasting my time! If I actually received all of the boosters and extra moves from every ad I've watched I'd likely be about 75 or 100 levels further along than I am now... and a LOT less frustrated with the game! I'm so ready to just delete it and make soda a distant memory!
These things never happened in the ORIGINAL CANDY CRUSH! WHICH I ABSOLUTELY CRUSHED! I flew through the game to the end ( I forget how many levels, but over 1000...and the subgame with the owl) until it said that there are no more planned updates, try going back and bettering your score on levels that you didn't get the high score, which was probably less than 10%), and I achieved that in well under 2 years! Never using any extra lives (I had over 1100 remaining) and rarely using boosters ( I had between 860 and 1000 of EACH booster remaining). The way this is going, from what I've read, you can't get lives from FB friends anymore, and the boosters awarded disappear or are used more quickly on harder levels, that'll likely never happen again...not just for me, but for everyone!
I find it absolutely absurd they actually want people to spend money on these things too! What makes anyone have ANY CONFIDENCE THAT EVERYTHING THEY SPENT MONEY ON WON'T JUST DISAPPEAR LIKE THE BOOSTERS WE EARN OR THE PROGRESS WE MAKE??? I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM A COMPANY THAT CAN'T ALLOW YOU TO KEEP WHAT YOU EARN THROUGH PLAYING THE GAME! I'VE ASKED AND COMPLAINED SO MUCH AND GOTTEN VERY LITTLE HELP, AND THE PROBLEMS ARE GETTING WORSE! I LIKE TO CRUSH CANDIES, BUT I'M ABOUT TO MAKE IT A MEMORY UNLESS THESE PROBLEMS ARE FIXED!
Very sorry to hear that the problem is stuck. 😔 The only thing I can recommend here from my end is to make sure that you have a stable internet connection, as that can affect your game if it's going on and off while the ad is in process of playing.
I checked around a bit and the best thing to do here is to contact the support page as they can give more in-depth help. Make sure to explain the problem as you did here, and if you can see anything of the ad before it crashes it helps them to look into it.

I've done all you suggested and I have an 256 GB iPad 9 gen. with more than half the capcity available. But still the adverts crash my game. Any other ideas i can try please.

no unfortunately, it is a lot, many times I have packed in playing because it is so annoying. It is mainly the adverts that give you extra lives in play, so the time I’ve spent on that particula game is wasted. I have tried to pin down a sequence, but it does seem to be random, though frequent.
I did try the hard shut down as suggested by LoFiGummy. The only thing I haven’t done is check my device's memory. I’ll do that next.
But is you have any other idea’s I’m listening.

I am sorry that you are experiencing problems due to the advertisements 😕 Is it just 1 ad? Does the screen goes black when an ad tries to play?

What type of iPad do you have? You can follow the steps below to see if this helps!
1) Restart: Force close all open apps and restart your device by following these steps.
2) Check for game updates: Check the app stores to update to the latest version of your game if needed and the latest software update for your device.
3) Check for device updates: To ensure you’re running the latest software for your device.
4) Check your device's memory. Please ensure you have a minimum of 2 GB of free space on your device.
Removing any unused Apps, pictures and videos can improve game performance. Please read these steps to check your device's memory.
