Can you please tell me why I am not given the chance to watch videos to get more lives or bonuses? This has been happening for a couple of weeks now.

I understand you don't like my answer, but this is how the features and events situation works in the game. Which means the availability of features cannot be influenced nor fixed by us players. It's Soda Studio who distributes features and events this way for the reason mentioned above.
Ads feature was missing in my game for 3 months before appearing again

I used to be able to watch videos to get free lives and bonuses but now I can’t. Your answer does not help me at all. Can you please fix this? I am close to giving up on this game if I can’t get this fixed!
i have previously been able to watch videos for more lives and bonuses, now that option has gone and has been for at least two weeks. Can you please fix it?
I am having the same problem. Extra moves and boosters are not offered anymore, boosters are not made available before hard levels, only 1 booster is available before starting a level. CCSS please fix it.

Usually the same features are not available to all Soda players at the same time because this is how the Game Studio keep the events and features manageable across millions of players.
So you may not have the feature now but you may receive it in the future.
