Hi @Pitty_Kitty this year I am looking forward to collecting my fresh turkey from a local butcher, making stock from the giblets ready for gravy on Christmas day, and treating my cats to the giblets after cooking.
I always enjoy baking savoury dishes on Christmas Eve, like pies, quiches etc. especially my beef pates which my son loves and vol-au-vents, whilst enjoying a couple of Baileys.
Christmas Day my son will arrive, and I have already planned clues for him to find his presents around the house, something which at 25 years old, I think in my heart, he will enjoy as it will remind him of the Christmas's I did for both my children when they were young.
Christmas has always been, as for many, a special time of the year for family.
It is also a very sad time for many and quite lonely.
As each year goes by I long to see my daughter more and more given health problems before it is too late.
My mum and dad will also be will us on Christmas Day, we will all talk and play games with a Christmas movie in the background, logs burning on the fire, and the Christmas lights twinkling around.
On Boxing Day, which is mum's birthday, this year we are going to gather in my holiday let. There will be 11 maybe 12 of us. The cooking will be shared and we are planning on roast beef for dinner. Again there will be much talking and family communication along with games.

I like to bake so I'm designated to bring desserts. I also like to cook savory dishes. I enjoy listening to Christmas songs, attend Holy Mass, volunteer to help the elderlies and the soup kitchen, watch fireworks, play games, stroll in the park, watch movies, and get in the spirit of the holidays. ☺️ Oh...not to forget...I like to decompress, relax and sleep in between. 😂
