Honestly I don't quite understand what you mean with what you have written and I might not be able to fully understand even if you explain it to me for I am not in your shoes. I have no idea what you're going through. I don't know if we're even talking about the same thing.
What I meant was not to keep holding on to the bad things that has happened in our lives to the point of consuming us because we are not in any position to change anything for it's out of our control. For me it's my way of survival. I have learned this at an early age. None of us are exempt from experiencing bad things. Maybe in different degrees but still painful to all.
You're the friend of @Racoon7 that she's concern about. I'm praying for you and will continue to do so. π
I don't like Thomas More's Utopia.
For example, because there is slavery on the island of Utopia and no one in Utopia cares much about it (and neither does More).
For example, because private property has been abolished on the island of Utopia. I don't know who might like this.
Etc. There's a lot of "interesting" stuff there.
All my life I have loved reading science fiction. But I donβt like to read utopias and I donβt read them because they are not science fiction. These are some sweet dreams that writers have. And some of them cannot resist sharing their dreams with all humanity.

I dwell over certain things that I cannot control because these things decide whether I will live in the next minute.
I feel the same way. Maybe that's why I feel that kind of connection with you since the beginning even without knowing your sense of values. π€
You kind of get some sense by how one deals with things or situations one is faced with. I love your attitude and positivity. I may not always agree with you on some things π but that does not change how I feel.
As you can see, sometimes I wear my heart on my sleeve. What you see is what you get. I also believe in love, honesty, kindness, compassion, patience, tolerance, gentleness and everything good that can make this world a better place if everyone observe them.
Unrealistic as it is, it shouldn't stop us from practicing it. Sometimes it only takes one person to make a difference in this world. Love can soften even the hardest of hearts. I have seen that in my life.
Another thing...I speak my mind, take things lightly and laugh a lot, and have never been afraid to voice my opinion so I hope you and our friends here can be patient with me π and tolerate my quirks, silliness and sometimes off the wall humor. βΊοΈ

I once saw a program about a (real) island where a tribe lives according to Utopia standards. There is no rich and poor, no money but barter, no internet etc.
In my ideal world (utopia) we have no hatred and envy, there is no such thing as rich and poor. People are kind to each other and animals, appreciate each other, don't lie, and care for each other. There is no war.Β
Well, as I said; that is a utopia; that will never come true. People can try to aspire to it, but it isnβt realistic. There are too many differences, too many rulers; the world we live in has so much hatred and envy.
But I try to live it and be positive. I believe in wishful thinking π Negative thinking attracts negativism, and hopefully with positive thinking I can achieve a better world (someday).
@Yosca π I have seen you mentioned utopia a couple of times. By any chance, have you read Sir Thomas More's Utopia? I only have read a short version or synopsis not the whole book so my knowledge on this is limited but enough to understand where he was coming from.
Why not? Life is precious and too short. Enjoy it while you can. Everything is passing only God remains. Have to be grateful for everything even in the midst of pain or difficulties. Why dwell on things we have no control over.

@JONH10 I am puzzled by this too. Initially, I thought it might be a glitch, as we recently launched 75 new levels, so it's possible that some digital wires got crossed. With the introduction of the new cake features, we were supposed to have one new cake each Thursday. Isn't it amusing how we now have one cake per month? Let's share a laugh about it! π The reality is, it's likely intentional since this date won't occur annually on any device. A playful pun to reflect on... Think of it as the 4-year glitch versus the seven-year itch. Just speculating for fun... ππ€£ One can't help but wonder if this is how conspiracy theories begin. LOL
