I don't have the option to run the game as administrator or in compatibility mode. Otherwise, I have run through all the troubleshooting points in your link, all to no avail.
What I find most confusing is that the game was working with no problems one day, and has refused to work ever since. It's not as if I had never run it on this PC before.

I'm sorry to hear that.
With the latest update, for some reason, my game as well went through with various anomalies. It's running but there's still a problem with functionality. Maybe it will correct itself after the next update.
Even after going through numerous problems in the past, I would never uninstall and reinstall. This should be utmost last resort. If you do this, you will lose all your boosters and everything else if you're not signed with King.
There's another thing that I have read in regards to Windows and gaming. Are you familiar with Directx files? I don't know if this game uses this but it's another set of components in Windows that allows games/software to work directly with your video and audio hardware. There are different versions suitable to the type of Windows you're using.
I hope the Studio will provide you with solution. Maybe the next update will.
Hang in there. In the meantime, play other Candy Crush games, they are working fine. ๐
I've already uninstalled and reinstalled several times, so that boat has sailed. If I ever get access to the game again, I guess I'll find out if I have lost things.
I do have DirectX installed...
DirectX 12 and Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2022 are the latest versions as far as I know.
If these are installed in your PC and you said you've run all the troubleshooting suggested then all you can do is wait for the Studio's response.
