The hand booster isnt working!!

ok.. from one issue to another. I’m really getting upset now 😔 I have been using my boosters to get over a hard level.. when I tap the hand booster and tap to swap the moves it doesn’t work and I ended up losing all the boosters for nothing!! It’s happened 3 days in a row now! Not a coincidence 😶

Few points I want to make:

You guys are awesome! I'm loving the feedback and conversation going on and as the Community Manager is such a pleasure to have you here.
Indeed, liquorice should be removed after ice. I tried myself (with that same level and on iOS) and had that behaviour. @Yaz_Milani if you manage to get that recorded it would be much appreciated in order to investigate it.
Not sure I'm following with the color+chocolate combo you are asking for @Alessandro_S but I'm happy to test anything (I have iOS myself) once I understand better.
One thing worth noting as well is that, unlike any of the other Candy Saga Games, in Soda, you cannot use free switchers for the color bombs. Instead, the system will take that move as a normal move, give the switcher back and detonate that bomb as if it were a normal move.

Hope those were clear but happy to talk and investigate together with you as much as needed!

P.S: Regarding the video, I agree with Alessandro, is rather a performance/connectivity issue more than a general glitch.

Yes you are right! I’ve never seen licourice going first! I play a million times a day lol 😀

I believe you - though I think that doesn't happen on Android as far as I know: licorice under blockers (ice or honey) is last to go.

@Xarly, do you know anyone on iOS that can try a color+chocolate and see whether candy drops in squares with ice where previously licorice existed?

The colour bomb with the green exploding candy made the licourice disappear. I did not record before that. It was just pictures. To be honest I’ve never screen recorded until you requested it.

Hold on. I rewatched screenshots and I can't understand how licorice (which also exists on @Yaz_Milani 's board) disappears from under ice... there must be a different glitch than I thought.

Let me look into the video some more...

OK, video starts from after licorice disappeared, so I think the glitch is whatever causes licorice to vanish, and candies to somehow end up on squares where they couldn't be (because there SHOULD be licorice there)... and after that they can't be moved from there.

@Yaz_Milani: can you upload a video which shows transition between licorice-exists and licorice-vanished?

Turns out there are differences - you have a icing without licorice, mine has licorice, so it will be impossible for me to try and swap anything from the iced square which is causing you issues.

I also get 33 moves to start, much less than yours, but that's a side note

@Xarly: Free switch on completely iced square appears to not work, per uploaded video. I can not reproduce as my iced square has a licorice beneath ice and no candy.

The video shows free switch booster refusing to swap green fish and yellow candy, but it isn't decrementing the number of boosters while doing so - even upon multiple attempts.

Eventually, the swap of two different candies in a row above succeeds and the booster count decrements.

So we can conclude that (at least in this sample) the issue is of lack of functionality of the free switch rather than "loss of boosters".

One more question before I set out replaying level 2380 on my Android phone and see whether I get the same behavior - what is the platform you're playing on?

@Alessandro_S I finally found a way to send the link. It is in the msg above. I hope you can see clearly that it doesn’t allow me to move the booster, which is the fish in this case, it has also acted the same way with the colour boosters. It works only on random tiles.

I don’t have a problem with sharing the video.. the problem is that the upload file option only allows pics and not videos! I don’t know if this is because of my device.

I wanted to make a wipeout booster. After I sent that to you it worked on a random tile and I lost swap booster. Then when it worked I lost the hand. I have actually ended up with only one left now. It’s put me off playing completely and this game was my passion.

Hi @Yaz_Milani - thanks for uploading screenshots, that's really helpful! And allow me to ask a couple more questions please.

Q1: what move did you want to perform via free switch? (I would have been tempted to set up a color ball by switching green wrapped candy and cyan diamond on its left, and later go with chocolate+color for a wipeout combo, but doing that would have set up the explosion of the wrapped candy - not very useful)

Q2: Screenshots top-bottom being 1,2,3 and actual sequence being 3,1,2, we can see that the number of free switch boosters has not decreased - it always shows 2 in all screenshots; so I'd be tempted to say that you have not actually lost the free switch booster - what do you think?

Of course if you can upload video anywhere (Google Drive would be fine as any other upload site) and share the link, it'll be my pleasure to have a look at that as well!

Thank you for posting here in the community! There must be a glitch with this booster! I have been having this same problem; it is very frustrating! I will forward your message to @Xarly, and see if she has an explanation! For now, what you can try to do is clicking the booster, but don’t try to swipe a Candy with it. Instead, lightly tap the candy that you want to switch it with. Then tap the other candy above, below, etc. the candy you first selected to swap it with each other. I hope this helps you, and have a wonderful day!

I have also discovered that it chooses when to work. And here is a screen recording.. I would like this to be fixed and all my lost boosters to be refunded please. It now won’t allow me to upload a video... I give up

Ok. So I tried it again and here’s the screenshot .. it seems that ONLY

when I want to swap the coloured ball to make a booster that clears the block it doesn’t want to move it.. instead I end up losing the booster. As you can seen from the second and third pic that I’ve selected the booster and it has not move anything. Keeping the 2 swaps in place. Additionally it has uploaded the pics in the wrong order. Number 3 is 1 and number 1 is 2.. if that makes sense
