I have an old Ipad. I cannot get candy crush to open on the old Ipad so I can transfer to new Ipad. How can I get it to open?

In principle, you don’t need to open the game if you have saved your game using a King or Facebook account. If you make an iCloud backup on your old iPad, you can restore the iCloud backup to the new iPad. The game data will then be transferred.
Open the game on your new device, and choose the 'Already have a King account/login with email' using the same email address and password, or click on the blue Facebook Connect button. Your gold bars and progress should be transferred.
In case it has not been transferred please contact King Player Support. You can contact them via your iPad: click the blue gear, click question mark, click “My game progress”, click “New phone or tablet”. Scroll down to “Contact us”, fill in the form and submit.
