My CCSS is very unstable, it can close at any time when I am playing online. It's been like that ever since I downloaded the app. I tried to re-install it but no change. That's the reason I have to play new levels offline to keep all my winstreak bonuses. And it is also the case when I play old levels; but this has lesser consequences.

Yes you are able to join the event online, and then progress offline. However you will need to go online before the event ends so that it can sync your scores with the tournament or you will lose those points and not advance.
In general, staying online ensures that no points will be lost, but due to your setup I understand you would like to limit this. Let me know if you have any problems with this though, but also be aware that it might not be a flawless experience if you wait too long with going online.
