Let me put on an optimistic hat 🤪 Back when we first got “social” feature, I thought Great! Now we can talk to other Soda players. But nooooooooooo, we have antisocial, social without social 🙄 Social has lost all meaning. So, my thought is that they are in the process of upgrading social, a real social! Where we can chat to everyone beyond our teammates 😇

I really miss the chat. We all loved chatting to each other about the game and helping each other to progress…..what's so wrong with that???

I personally do not understand why you take popular things away to address the team chat. No logical sense to that. In the last few months you have made the game more difficult to conquer unless you buy booster. The ads were much more effective in my mind. Were you losing money ?$#*?

I am so glad that more players are expressing their frustration and feelings about the removal of chat, I had so many friends in this game that I don't have now, 😭 and a lot of players have left the game, I have not known any game I played not have a chat feature, the STUDIO has had time to put this right, stop dragging your heels

I don't get out much so it was enjoyable to play and chat but now I have lost that and play my other games WITH CHAT, I think this game is boring now,no interaction with anybody

As I mentioned in my previous post on the other thread (which has now been locked), I find this decision to be VERY bad. I feel as though King is trying to "Mute" our voice. First, they take away our ability to DM someone on the board (with no REAL explanation) and now they take away our ability to chat in the game. As others have mentioned, the chat had a filter on it which prevented bad/hateful language so that can't be the reason. I personally do not need "NEWS" about who baked a cake. I could see who did and did not by viewing stats in the Cake menu.
This chat feature was our ONLY avenue to communicate. We would welcome new members, explain team rules or guidelines or just talk about life in general. We didn't abuse it. Some of us connected on FaceBook which I do wish more of us did now. We can't connect here as there is no good avenue to connect unless we want to post private information publicly which in the end will just get lost in all the messages.That is if it doesn't get deleted by mods. Not to mention not all players use this forum.
As for the"accessibility" reason. So, everyone has to suffer because a few had issues? My wife is short and has issues seeing over the steering wheel. Does that mean we need to ban all vehicles from the roadways until they can build a car for vertically challenged people? No. We deal with what we have and make it work for her. Therefore, the chat feature could have remained available for those of us who could utilize it and they could have worked on it in the background.
I also do not like how they moved the "Bake-A-Cake" to the activity’s menu. This is a team only event so it only makes sense to leave it with the team menu. Only reason I went to the Team menu was to chat and bake the cake. Now I see no use for the team menu except to give me another useless notification bubble about news that again, I have no need for. Of course, they don't give us an option to disable the notifications either. Since I am CDO (that's OCD with the letters in alphabetical order, as they should be) I now have to go to two menus to clear the notifications and then go to bake a cake.
Of all the changes that have happened during my time of playing this game, which has been some time now, I find this one to be the WORST of all time and there have been some doozies.

I agree, taking away chat has taken all the fun away! I miss talking to my team!
