How do I fix the game being stuck on Day Missed screen?

My game is stuck on my iPad on the Day missed screen with an X to close out but won’t close when pressing on the X. I tried restarting my iPad as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the game. This did not fix the problem. It has been stuck for several days now. Thank you!
