Put me back to level 1

I play this game on my Kindle and have reached levels in the 400's. I went to play the day before yesterday and I was back to Level 1 much to my annoyance. I've no idea why this has happened but I'd like to get back to original level. I've spent money on this game in the past and I don't expect it to disappear and start me from scratch again. Anyone have any ideas? It's never done it before.
