Not sure if QueenB did anything ‘behind the scenes’ as I never said when I was deleting or reinstalling the game. However, deleting and reinstalling did seem to do the trick. Just be patient after reinstalling as it still took several minutes for everything to be back to normal. It started me out on level one again with an error connection again but then it started working again -

yes it is working again but players should not have to delete and reinstall a game for it to work properly, this is the first time I’ve had to do that to play a game. Any updates etc that is done should not have caused these problems and your programmers should’ve been able to fix it -
I’m having the exact same issue. None of the solutions above work. I started having problems right after I created a King account instead of login in with Facebook. I can login to other King games using the king sign in, but not candy crush. This is may be an issue with your system so reloading and disabling is not going to work.
