Somehow my display name was changed and I'm not able to change it back. I tried to change it in the profile section. I even added a last name hoping the new, complete name would be displayed. It did not. Please advise. Thank you.

do you mean you have both a King account and Facebook account to save your progress since you say you tried to merge the 2 of them?
Did you merge using the option on www.king.com visible on laptop/PC devices?
If you succeeded in merging your King account and Facebook account then your player informations (name and avatar picture) are likely retrieved from your Facebook account from now on.
If you logged in to your King account in Soda app and tried to edit your name in profile settings but it wasn't successful then log out. visit your Facebook account settings on FB app and edit information from there. Next time you log in to your Facebook account in Soda app you'll see your information updated.
If you play Soda and you don't have an account to save your progress with (no King account and no Facebook account) then it's advised to create a King account (email address+password) and add the player name of your choice (first name and last name) and avatar picture. To do this: tap on blue cogwheel icon, tap on "edit" below your player name and email address, re-enter your password to verify your identity. Edit your information and tap on "submit" to save your preferences

I'm not playing on Facebook or on kingdom account, I've just tried merging the 2 which is otherwise sucusesful apart from my username is; Hunnybun Rex-Rabbit instead of Hunnybunrexrabbit which is displayed on my profile. Are you playing through Facebook OR Kingdom account?
If you are on Facebook, the name you wrote as "Username" would be displayed as the name in your games. If you have not picked / written anything in that slot, then the name you have entered would be visible.
So, make sure to check that out through "Settings" -- "General Account Settings". Sometimes, it will not update our choices (as there is no SAVE option). In that case, closing the browser and rebooting the device always works.

Where your name is incorrect, in the community or in the game. If it is in the game, please update it and clear the cache. Play a level and it will be fine.
