An ace is exposed, so you can only play cards one higher or one lower. I would first pick up the single king on the right, then the ace of diamonds. Then I would pick up the king of hearts, which is connected to the 9. The 9 would then be on the pile and could then be used to clear the black 8, which is visible because I removed the ace of diamonds earlier.

Hi @johamilton thank you for the poll, I know nothing about the game but given there is an Ace showing on the bottom I would play the King (and 9 link)
