Does anyone know exactly how the points are actually earned on each level?
As in how many points are earned for each action, remaining card, etc.

That is the most unanswer, answer ever. Providing a break down of points for the various actions should not be that difficult.
I.e. 10 points for every card removed, 1 additional point for each card in an active streak, 10 points for every card remaining unused, etc.
Every solitare game I've ever played for points, there was a breakdown of points available.

Unlike other Candy Crush games, Candy Crush Solitaire doesn't use a traditional point system.
Points are earned primarily by successfully making a card match of one card higher or lower than the active card on the board. You also score bonus points for creating "streaks" of consecutive matches and can win points in special team events by collecting designated cards.
The points are generated by card matches, card streaks, different events, but no way to come up with a certain layout of points.
