Thanks for the info. I also have noticed that the player mentioned in my case gets awarded almost always, about 9 out of 10 times. Making the theory of automatic selection less likely.

I think that it is really too hard with getting and losing your hat. You lose it after only losing one level, and some are really hard. And then you either have to pay or finish a bunch of new levels in order to play again. With regular levels you also can play again with 5 lives. So it would be fair if you would get a few…

I've seen many different opening screens over the years I've played both with and without Kimmy, so I think that will just repeat and she'll appear again in future start screens.
