The only way to link them is by using the option in King.com as far as I know. What happened when you tried that by the way, did you not get some kind of confirmation or error after trying to link it?

If you don't like the timed levels then maybe give Soda a try instead as they don't appear in that game.

I've seen a couple of posts with others saying the same. Check if you have any pending updates in the Play Store, if you don't have any then I'd wait to see what a moderator says as they are likely to pick this up if posts keep coming in on this.
