Weird, what are you playing on? If you connect to Facebook then you have nothing to worry about, plenty of players there in groups set up to send each other help, check here and you'll see what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTF8ThfG7tM

If you didn't connect to Facebook or Kingdom, the game won't be saved anywhere but where you originally played it from, on your old phone. If you still have you original phone, just connect it in game and you'll be able to access that progress from any device by simply connecting to that account.

In all King games, the only thing which gets synced when connecting to Facebook or Kingdom is your progress and gold bars, everything else is locally stored and does not share across devices.

Should be able to get up to 1135, do you have automatic updates set up or do you have to go to the store to manually download it?

If you didn't connect with Facebook before just go into the game setting and disconnect from Facebook (just tap on the FB logo and it will confirm to disconnect) and reconnect to your Kingdom account.
