Water buckets?

How do I get water drops from the frozen water buckets?  It seems almost impossible to do this with the amount of moves given you use a lot just getting a few drops of water, it is very frustrating!

    You can break the ice with a spade also. But make moves against the buckets, even if its crops you don't want, as this will increase the value of the one you do.
