How do I get rid of the fireflies in level 497?

I can't seem to get rid of the fireflies at all. How do I do it? One game they will go away and the next they won't. How do I get rid of them?

    Hi Lrhodes49!

    All the fireflies have to be activated twice. Watch out - if you activate them thrice they will stop glowing and you'll have to activate that firely two times again.
