How can I stop the chickens from laying eggs or get rid of the the chickens ? I have been stuck on this level for weeks

You need the chickens to lay the eggs in order to collect the little chick. You need to match 4 eggs and then you will see the chick in the shell. Match 3 of these together to free the chick. Its all a bit random with the movements but this video will give you a good idea of what to do:
