Notifications disabled but still receiving

I have disabled notifications as directed but I am still receiving them.  This is driving me nuts.  Can anyone assist please?

    Hey H,

    Did you turn off the Facebook notifications for the game in your Facebook settings? That should be enough.

    Just let me know if you need help on turning those off in your settings.
