often when I am using a companion, rather than doing their skill when the bar fills up, it just stays full and nothing happens except a speech bubble with '...' Appears next to the animal. Complete waste of my beans if they don't do anything.
Thanks for your reply! However, it often happens near the beginning of the level when there is plenty more they could do, I.e. The quota hasn't been met yet. Other times they help out for the entire level. If this is intentional, is the price for use of the companion for a randomly determined number of helping instances? It has happened where they have helped once and then the bubble appears. Many thanks.
Hi JG101,
Once the Animal Helpers have fulfilled their mission - for instance helping to clear a target amount of crops - they'll go into standby mode. The speech bubble indicates that the Animal Helper is present but can't help further in clearing the level.
